How To: Confetti Cake

What you need:

1 tbsp. white vinegar

1 cup plant-based milk

½ cup vegetable oil


Step 1: Prepare

Preheat oven to 350º F. Spray an 8" pan with non-stick spray or line your cupcake tin.

Add the vinegar to a measuring cup. Pour in milk until the mixture hits the 1-cup line and let sit for 5 minutes without stirring to create "buttermilk".


Step 2: Mix

Combine the cake mix, oil and “buttermilk” in a medium bowl.

Whisk until smooth (about 1 minute).


Step 3: Bake

Pour batter into pan. Lightly stir in sprinkles with a fork. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Approximately 30-40 minutes for an 8" cake and 15-20 minutes for cupcakes.


Step 4: Cool & Enjoy

Let cake or cupcakes cool for 5 minutes before carefully removing from pan.


TIP: Top with a Novelty decorating kit, coconut whipped cream, fresh berries, or melted chocolate


Ingredients:

Flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla bean powder, sprinkles (sugar, cornstarch, artificial colours, carnauba wax)
